The IDS Project's 16th Annual Summer Conference begins July 28th and goes through Friday, July 31st.
It will be held virtually this year due to COVID-19.
We have extended the days this year to include the ILL 101 Pre-conference with support from OCLC and RUSA Stars. We have also reduced the total number of presentations this year and tried to spread them out a bit so that people won't be stuck in front of a screen more than they already are. We have also moved them later in the day so that people on the west coast can join in at a reasonable hour.
During Lunch on Thursday, we will have breakout sessions for different discussions:
- Alma/ILLiad integration and Resource Sharing
- Discussion for resuming lending/borrowing physical material
- Library plans for returning to work
- ILLiad 9.1 - webpages, DSP, patron expiration date, locked accounts
There is no fee for this year's conference.
Our keynote speaker is Peter Collins! Peter Collins is the Director of Resource Sharing at OCLC and is the current Chair of the IFLA Document Delivery and Resource Sharing Standing Committee. Peter has held positions in resource sharing, access services, and public services in academic libraries and spent 7 years in resource sharing software development and support for BorrowDirect.
